This past summer, I returned to France for a couple of months to care for my dad. While I was there, I found his old tenor sax and, in a few days, wrote and recorded this little tune. Now, I'm not claiming to be a saxophonist. I played from sun up until sun down until my mouth bled to make this happen. It was important to me, however, to do as few overdubs and cuts as possible. So just imagine standing outside a house and hearing "HoOoOoonKk....F@#*!!" for 12 hours. Anyway, I titled it "Life, Death & The Rain" because those were the only things I had room to think about in my brain. The tune was a form of release. A call to accept the difficult, dance around it, and enjoy the present. I hope you enjoy it.
